Meet the Team

After being pulled into a CrossFit class by now owner David Bolland back in 2017, Tanya was hooked. Tanya is the first line of contact for CrossFit Diligence, and rightfully so. She puts people at ease when trying something that may be scary. She’s a great representation of the community-first mindset we have and try to instill as much as possible.

When Tanya isn’t in the gym, she is following around her son’s kart racing throughout the greater Midwest!

Tanya Schad

Travis joined a fitness gym in 2018, where he discovered his passion for functional fitness and community-based workouts. In 2022, he became part of the CrossFit Diligence family, drawn to its focus on growth, camaraderie, and variety. Travis thrives on doing a little bit of everything, whether it’s lifting, cardio, fitness challenges, or trying something new. He’s all about pushing his limits while staying injury-free and believes that a good gym session isn’t complete without some quality banter.

Travis loves seeing other athletes improve and is passionate about helping people unlock their potential. For him, fitness is as much about celebrating progress as it is about enjoying the process.

When he’s not in the gym, Travis spends time with his wife and two daughters, one of whom is deeply involved in soccer, keeping him busy and inspired. His family fuels his drive to stay active and balanced, both in and out of the gym.

Kate Laubenstein

From the first time Kate visited CrossFit Diligence in 2022, she knew she'd be back. Kate has been an athlete and runner all her life, but decided to take her relationship with CrossFit to the next level when she became a coach in 2024. With Kate's dayjob as a nurse, she knows how important regular fitness and good nutrition are, and she's passionate about helping athletes work to the best of their ability.

When she's not at Diligence, running around Plymouth (literally!), or working out in her home gym, Kate enjoys spending time with her husband, kids, and three dogs.

After joining CrossFit Eastern Ridge in August of 2013, Tom quickly fell in love with community-based fitness. After a year as an athlete, Tom wanted to share his passion for CrossFit and became a coach.

Tom has been with CrossFit Diligence since its inception in 2018. His biggest joy is working with people who think they can't and sharing in their joy of accomplishing goals in workouts and personal lives.

When Tom is not at the gym, he loves being outside applying his fitness or snapping his next favorite photo.

Aaron Martell

Aaron was one of the original members of CrossFit Eastern Ridge. It didn’t take long for him to get hooked and have a great desire to grow with CrossFit. Aaron has always been a part of coaching; right out of college he helped coach football in St. Paul, then when his own children came along, he coached soccer football and baseball. He has been a coach with CrossFit Diligence since 2018.

Aaron enjoys time with his wife and two children, avid Wisconsin sports fan, enjoys long walks in the woods with his family and dog Reesey. His real job is Lead Pastor at New Life Community Church in Plymouth, and he is also the chaplain of our local Faith Rx chapter.

David Bolland

Dave was assigned the CrossFit Harvard Business School case in 2016 when he attended the HBS-YPO Program.  Dave returned from the program and immediately joined CrossFit Eastern Ridge, not knowing he would one day partner to help create a ‘sister’ gym in 2018, initially named CrossFit Western Ridge which became CrossFit Diligence in 2022.

Today, Dave enjoys being an early morning athlete as well as an occasional coach.  However, his main motivation is to build a great community culture led by a servant leadership team who strive to role model our motto of ‘do what you can’t’.  We’re here to give others the life-changing experience we’re all enjoying today.
